‹Focus›: Mr Poggenburg, what do you hope to achieve in your new role?
‹Poggenburg›: The highest priority for me is the full focus on customer
requirements and their needs during the in-use phase, both from the perspective
of technology and interaction.
To do this, we strengthen our cooperation with the innovative people at our
customers and we share the vast amount of experience that we have throughout
AVL for their benefit. We own such a tremendous portfolio, not only in
terms of solutions, but also in terms of expertise, which we should use for supporting
our customers in increasing the effectiveness of their development and
testing activities. This covers lab, on-road, vehicle and simulation.
We are eager to do this because the market is going through periods of transformation
and now, more than ever, our customers are facing tasks which they
haven’t faced before. Therefore, it is important for us to know what these tasks
will be before the customer does, so that we can provide solutions to tackle them.
Last July, Jens Poggenburg became
the new Executive Vice President
for AVL. We spoke to him about his
new role, and the direction he hopes
to take with AVL in the coming years.
