HIGH-PRECISION MEASURING
RESULTS
The growing complexity in engine
and exhaust aftertreatment strategies,
along with new requirements such as
particle number limits are leading to
an increase in the number of sampling
points along the exhaust system – a
AVL offers a full range of emission analysis
systems for certification, development
and series monitoring on engine testbeds
and chassis dynamometers. With its brandnew
AVL AMA SL™ (SlimLine), AVL sets
new standards in exhaust emission testing.
In the light of drastically tightening
emission limits and the ever
more widespread use of alternative
fuels, engine and vehicle developers
are facing increasingly tough tasks.
To better cope with the growing demands
to enhance efficiency, reduce
costs and satisfy legal requirements,
AVL is expanding its product portfolio
for undiluted exhaust emission
measurements by adding the state-ofthe
art AVL AMA SL™.
The new AVL AMA SL™ sets fresh,
radical standards in terms of design,
efficiency and flexibility. Thanks to
the smart adaptation of components
and housing, the cabinet has a width
of no more than 30 cm, taking up
roughly 70 % less space than conventional
measuring systems – on top
of that it can be easily mounted to the
wall. “The new AVL AMA SL™ gives
our customers much greater flexibility,”
Ulf Behnke, AVL Product
Manager, Emission Testing Systems,
explains. “Apart from its slim design,
the AVL AMA SL™ is much quieter
than comparable systems, needs
far less energy, is more heat-resistant
and can be connected to any supply
