The AVL SPECTRA™ Wheel Dyno transforms testbed engineering
and enhances efficiency with cutting-edge technology – using SiC and
FPGA. With a compact modular setup, it saves space in the test cell and
easily converts a testbed for combustion engines into a future-proof platform
for axle development.
Our system integrates control and motor inverters into the machine, leaving
only the mains converter to be set up separately, resulting in the opportunity
to explore unthinkable dimensions. Offering a huge improvement
in control dynamics as well as inertia simulation, enables the SPECTRA
asynchronous machines to be used in the challenging application of driveability,
leading to cost optimization of the system. For our most demanding
customers our synchronous machines provide unparalleled test quality
by utilizing high control dynamic and lowest inertia.
AVL FuelTron™ M.O.V.E – jointly developed with a German OEM –
sets a new standard for mobile fuel consumption measurement. Featuring
a unique hydraulic layout and the high-end PLUtron sensor, it allows
bidirectional flow measurement without any influence on the operation
of the vehicle being tested.
Allowing testing to be conducted under harsh environmental conditions, and
detecting even the smallest consumption quantities with minimal integration
effort, it is ideal for heavy-duty and NRMM applications. With usability at
the forefront, and seamlessly integrable into any data acquisition system, it
delivers value to any testing toolchain.
