Lukas Walter Becomes New COO at AVL

Lukas Walter returns to AVL and takes over the position of Chief Operating Officer in the Engineering division.

Graz, Austria, March 26, 2025 - AVL List announces the appointment of Lukas Walter as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in the Engineering division. With his extensive international experience and in-depth industry expertise, Mr. Walter will play a key role in shaping the further development and strategic direction of the company.

Lukas Walter is returning to AVL after several years in leading positions in the automotive industry. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President in the top management of MAN Truck & Bus, where he held various roles with responsibility for global truck sales, truck engineering, product strategy and planning. In these roles, Lukas Walter was responsible for the implementation of essential transformation processes. During his more than 30-year career at MAN and AVL, he gained extensive top management experience in the areas of engineering, business development and global sales.

As COO of AVL Engineering, Walter will take over the management of the entire strategic business unit. His focus will be on further strengthening the company's innovative power and competitiveness and driving forward the transformation towards sustainable mobility solutions.
