Stefan Bruhnke becomes Executive Vice President at AVL

AVL List GmbH appoints Stefan Bruhnke to the Management Board as Executive Vice President for Global Business Development, Sales and International Operations in the Engineering division.

Graz, Austria, 16 July 2024 - AVL List GmbH has appointed DI Stefan Bruhnke to the Management Board. He will assume the position of Executive Vice President for Global Business Development, Sales and International Operations in the Engineering division, succeeding Prof Dr Uwe Dieter Grebe.

As Business and Technical Field Leader Vehicle, the internationally experienced top manager was most recently responsible for the development and business development of passenger cars, two-wheelers and light commercial vehicles. With a degree in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Stuttgart and 15 years of management experience in international teams in the areas of engineering, operations, project and quality management, the 45-year-old brings with him extensive expertise.

In addition to his extensive experience in the automotive industry, including at Ineos Automotive and Mercedes-Benz, Bruhnke has valuable expertise in the areas of development, business development and global sales of complex vehicle systems, software, analysis technology and digitalisation solutions.

"The automotive industry is undergoing an exciting paradigm shift towards software-orientated vehicle development. In order to ensure sustainable and affordable mobility for all, it is essential that vehicle functions are digitally mapped, comprehensively tested and understood in the interaction of all systems," explains Stefan Bruhnke.
