The work at AVL reflects a deep understanding of our responsibility towards society and respect for nature. Through sustainable design and sustainable development we are reducing the CO2-footprint of the drive train in all life cycle phases and at the same time taking affordability for the end user into account .

The sustainable use of resources and the ambitious goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions will change the transport sector significantly in the upcoming years, especially topics such as e-mobility and a well-balanced, efficient and environmentally friendly mix of propulsion systems are going to play a central role. Together with the rise of renewable and alternative energy sources, there will be a large number of different development scenarios in the coming decade.
