PR: AVL E-STORAGE BTE™

Join us in exploring new E-Horizons

AVL E-STORAGE BTE

The new AVL E-STORAGE BTE™ is a combined system that can be used as a battery tester and battery emulator (simulator) to validate and test batteries as well as e-motors and inverters in an early development phase. The system offers a combination of outstanding dynamic performance with highest measurement and control accuracy. The AVL E-STORAGE BTE™ not only reduces the lifecycle testing time of the battery by up to 20 %, but also allows the faster characterization of reliable and durable e-drive components.

Due to its high level of dynamic performance, enhanced accuracy, broad voltage range and low residual ripple, the AVL E-STORAGE BTE™ is the professional solution to emulate a real-world battery and follow a predefined load profile to expose the device under test to real world operating conditions. Moreover, the system is not only fully compatible with AVL’s engine and vehicle test systems but can also be operated as a stand-alone application. The integrated battery testing automation software AVL LYNX 2™ makes the AVL E-STORAGE BTE™ compliant with the requirements of the latest test run standards. AVL LYNX 2™ is based on ease of use and facilitates recording of reproducible measurement data across the entire development process.

Furthermore, the AVL E-STORAGE BTE™ has the possibility to integrate different battery models which allows a realistic battery emulation for e-drive testing. A simple internal resistance model, more sophisticated models with an AVL controller or AVL ARTE.Lab 4™ and customer-specific battery models can be integrated efficiently. In addition, the system’s small footprint reduces the required floor space by up to 25 %.
