EU-founded Investigo Program: Mobility Technology Company AVL Participates in Strengthening the Spanish Economy

New Jobs for a Greener and Resilient Spanish Economy

AVL Investigo Team

AVL has been approved to the EU-founded Investigo Program. The initiative, which is investing in the creation of 50,000 new jobs in Spain by 2025, encourages and enables the industry to recruit young researchers. AVL has hired a team of 11 graduates from various universities and vocational schools. Working in the areas of engineering, information technology, and data analysis the young talents foster the development of energy-optimized automotive testing facilities.

Valladolid, Spain, February 2024: The goal is to reduce the installed power and energy consumption of automotive testing facilities by up to 30 percent. All that by optimizing the testing cycles. Data here serves as a basis to identify and improve energy-intensive processes and systems. With the help of software driven tools AVL identifies energy inefficiencies inherent in specific test systems and optimizes them. This marks a stride towards a more sustainable and energy-efficient era of automotive testing.

Clara de las Heras, System Designer Facility AVL: “Thanks to the Investigo Program I had the chance to stay a vital part of the AVL family. I am glad to work on innovative technologies and solutions for a greener world of mobility, thereby giving something back to the Spanish society.”

Alberto Zumeta, Managing Director AVL Iberica S.A.: “We are delighted to be part of the Investigo Program. This investment will support the transformation of the Spanish mobility industry and pave the way for a sustainable future. The initiative also strengthens the Spanish competitiveness and serves as a pivotal instrument for growth.”
