Special Mention to AVL Italia as Part of the “Innovatori Responsabili 2023” Award

AVL Italia has received from Emilia Romagna Region this special mention for its commitment to youth education through the AVL Green Camp Project.

The regional award ceremony, held at the Golinelli Foundation in Bologna, aims to highlight local companies that contribute to achieving the objectives of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The 2023 edition specifically focuses on projects aligned with the four strategic guidelines outlined in the Pact for Work and Climate of the Emilia-Romagna Region:

• Region of Knowledge and Wisdom
• Region of Ecological Transition
• Region of Rights and Duties
• Region of Work, Enterprises, and Opportunities

Within the objective of “Region of Knowledge and Wisdom”, AVL Italia Green Camp project stands out. This initiative provides training and guidance to second-grade students at a middle school in Cavriago, where AVL Italia Technical Center is based. The program aims to introduce young learners to STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), fostering their interest in technology and science.

During the 2023 AVL Green Camp, students explored the role of hydrogen in ecological transition. The project included both theoretical sessions, where an AVL expert explained the basics of hydrogen, and practical workshops held at AVL Italia’s Technical Center.

The success of the 2023 edition was made possible through collaboration with the Cavriago Municipality, the G. Dossetti Comprehensive Institute, and the educational support of Cooperativa Accento.
