AVL SHED™

The AVL VT/VV-SHED (Sealed Housing for Evaporative Determination) systems constitute a state-of-the-art test system for testing evaporative emissions.

AVL SHED™

Increasingly stringent requirements demand adequate and flexible test systems for evaporative emissions that are suitable for certification as well as for tests in research and development. Our AVL VT/VV-SHED Systems constitute a state-of-the-art test system with specifically coordinated optimization with regard to the individual analysis tasks. The focus was placed in particular on the selection of materials, test automation and gas analysis.

AVL SHED systems cover a wide range of applications and uses for R&D testing or for certification purposes. In addition to onboard refueling vapor recovery (ORVR) vehicle testing and running loss testing, tests for the vehicle interior such as volatile organic compound (VOC) or vehicle interior air quality (VIAQ) measurement can also be performed. The available variants allow the system to be optimally matched to the desired unit under test - from individual components to complete vehicle testing. Component manufacturers as well as OEMs, and international regulatory bodies use AVL SHED for the various evaporative emissions tests.

SHED System

Variants for Each Application

AVL SHED systems are available in various configurations and sizes to ensure optimal adaption to the respective UUT. From the testing of individual components, tank systems, motorcycles, or passender cars up until the testinf of transporters and small trucks, the suitable SHED system is available in our portfolio. Thus, they cover a wide range of applications and test scenarios.
