Important Update
Our industry changes. Fast. This change also affects automotive events such as AVL’s Vehicle & Environment.
The reality we see, are severe travel restrictions in our industry, changes in travel behavior and decision-making processes to attend events. We have received countless requests to join our conference digitally. In an easy to access, 24/7 on-demand available format.
After careful consideration we decided that the on-site event, planned for June 5-6, 2024 will not take place in the way we had intended. We plan to adapt the conference concept and shift it to an online format, and we invite you to join us in near future for this webinar series. Free of charge. Further information follows shortly here on the page.
Already paid tickets will be 100% reimbursed.
We highly appreciate your willingness to join us in person for this year’s Vehicle & Environment and we count on your understanding that we have made this decision.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

The future of mobility is safe. It is inclusive. And it is climate neutral.
We are seeing a paradigm shift toward software-oriented vehicle development. We are facing new legal framework conditions as well as the desire for exciting new features and modern, attractive design that responds to the customer on demand. Indeed, a total rethinking of society as a whole that requires a reorientation in our development processes.
Individual vehicle functions must be digitally mapped, rigorously tested, and understood in the overall context of all systems. Only by following this path can all members of society, including the aged and those with physical limitation, enjoy sustainable and affordable mobility that is cost and energy efficient for the producer.
Openness to new technologies is key to creating added value for society and the environment. We must look for solutions that create new degrees of freedom in design and engineering. And use those solutions, those innovations, where they have the greatest impact, the best relative efficiency and the most positive effect of the driver’s experience. All on the road of Net Zero CO₂.
In our industry the end user, the driver, the family on the road will always be at the center of our efforts. They deserve the best we can give.
With our conference we address tomorrow’s challenges today. Please join us.

Stream: Sustainability
Jointly we will explore several key areas that are redefining the landscape of modern industry. We will look at ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) regulations and their impact, examining the consequences of these new rules on the automotive sector.
Moreover, we will deep-dive into the circular economy, a systemic approach to economic development designed to create a balance between business, society, and the environment. In addition, we will assess the lifecycle footprint, and discuss the concept of sustainability in the supply chain. Another topic is Carbon Taxation, a critical tool for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Let's explore together the complex world of sustainability and find out how the automotive industry can operate not only economically, but also in an environmentally friendly and responsible manner.
Stream: E-Mobility
In all our ambitions for sustainable transportation, e-mobility represents a new era shaped by efficiency, sustainability, and innovation. This stream addresses key challenges in scaling up e-mobility from various perspectives. We will highlight the urgent need and approaches for more affordable electric propulsion solutions. Additionally, we will examine the requirements for charging infrastructure, which are crucial for ease of use and broad accessibility.
Join us on this exciting journey as we explore the potential of e-mobility and its power to revolutionize transportation as we know it.
Stream: ADAS & E/E
Automated and Connected Mobility marks a significant shift in our industry. In this stream, we will focus on Software Defined Vehicles (SDV), Virtual Verification and Validation (V&V), E/E Architecture and System Integration, Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and User Experience, as well as Connectivity.
Software-defined functionalities have become the key game changer. Virtual V&V ensures the safety and reliability of these vehicles through rigorous testing and validation in simulated environments. E/E Architecture and System Integration involve the design and integration of electric and electronic systems to orchestrate the various functionalities of the vehicle seamlessly.
HMI and User Experience is about creating intuitive and engaging interfaces for users to interact with the vehicle and its systems. Lastly, Connectivity is the cornerstone of this revolution, enabling real-time communication between vehicles, infrastructure, and other road users.
Take part as we explore these exciting aspects of Automated and Connected Mobility, set to redefine the future of transportation.
Stream: Next Generation Vehicle
In the Next Generation Vehicle stream, we explore the future of mobility by pushing the limits of technology and innovation. With fresh perspectives, we cover three essential topics:
Firstly, the Functional Development of complete vehicles is a key innovation strategy that underlines the need for a holistic and cross-disciplinary approach to vehicle development based on vehicle functions.
Secondly, the Chassis and Driving Functions of complete vehicles are a domain that emphasizes synchronizing various vehicular components to ensure optimal performance and balanced vehicles for end-consumers.
Lastly, we explore Thermal Management and HVAC, a field dedicated to creating efficient vehicle systems that optimally regulate temperature and ventilation, thereby ensuring superior comfort and performance.
Join us as we embark on this journey into the world of Next Generation Vehicles and their potential to redefine the automotive landscape.
