Gustav Tuschen Joins the Executive Board of AVL

AVL List GmbH has appointed Gustav Tuschen as new board member and Executive Vice President. The top manager with international experience was previously at Daimler Buses, where he was head of development. As of December 1, 2022, the 60-year-old is responsible for the corporate development and global alignment of AVL in the commercial vehicles sector.

Graz, Austria, December 1, 2022: Gustav Tuschen, one of the most well-known top executives in the international commercial vehicles sector is joining AVL List GmbH. The engineer and business graduate gained more than 30 years of professional experience in product and technology development, as well as in planning and strategy at Daimler AG. Between 2006 and 2011, he was Director of Product Planning at Daimler Trucks, the biggest truck manufacturer in the world. As of 2011 he was responsible for the overall product engineering and product strategy of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation in Japan, before assuming the role of Executive Vice President Product Engineering and Procurement at Daimler Buses and EvoBus GmbH in 2013.

At AVL, Gustav Tuschen is taking on the role of EVP Global Business Development, Sales and International Operations in the Commercial Vehicles and Power Systems division. In addition to his many years of experience in the commercial vehicle area, Tuschen also brings extensive expertise in current transformation processes relating to emission-free mobility, active safety, and digitalization. His many vehicle and technology projects include the highly successful launch of the Mercedes Benz eCitaro product family.

With the appointment of Tuschen to the executive board, AVL is adding an expert in important political and strategic decisions to their ranks. In this way, the company continues to advance the technological policy adopted by Helmut List – and meet the rapidly changing requirements of the market.
