With AVL PUMA Open 2™, AVL presents its latest generation of a modern automation system. The platform features a consistent, simple and intuitive user interface using efficient parameter configuration and immediate validation, which enables the preparation of testbed tasks upfront in the office. This results in a significant increase of productive testbed time. Therefore, the next-generation automation system, which is part of the AVL Team SUITE™, certainly delivers what its slogan "The ease of automation" promises.

Validation in the Office – Execution on the Testbed

AVL PUMA Open 2™ enables test runs and parameter sets to be prepared in the office, together with the administration of projects, results and user rights. Tasks like the acquisition of measurement values, the calculation of a range of quantities and the execution of automated test runs are done on the testbed. AVL PUMA Open 2™ additionally guarantees the smooth interplay between all testing tools and testbed components. One of the major highlights of AVL PUMA Open 2™ is the seamless integration of all test facility data, ranging from test parameters to global data and results from a testbed.

A powerful search function enables the rapid location and further processing of data. Unique advantages of the automation platform include the automatic and fast integration of AVL measurement devices and testbed automation, a significant increase in runtime and a substantial reduction of useless data thanks to integrated diagnostic features. Furthermore, powerful interfaces between AVL CAMEO 3™, AVL PUMA Open 2™ and AVL IndiCom 2™ allow, for the first time, the execution of innovative calibration methods.

The AVL Team SUITE™ – a set of expert tools – ensures that dynamics, performance and flexibility are guaranteed at the highest level throughout the whole development process.
