The future is today: at the 30th ‘Engine
& Environment’ conference,
around 250 participants from 21
nations discussed the topic ‘Networking
– the key to future emission
and consumption reductions?
In vehicle and drive’. The two-day
conference focused on promising
technologies that will make vehicles
key to reducing emissions and
fuel consumption in the future. Experts
from General Motors, BMW
and AVL, among others, presented
their entrepreneurial approaches for
a more environmentally-friendly
future in several lectures.
In his speech, AVL CEO Helmut
List stressed: “It is essential to exchange
ideas on how and to what
extent vehicle networking can
actually contribute to reducing
fuel consumption and CO2 emissions
and minimizing pollutant
emissions”.
