Technical innovation requires international teams with a broad range of abilities and approaches, and the acceptance that every single person can make a change. Seeking to include all members of our society, and working to spread a great radiance around the globe, the Special Olympics organization sends a strong signal in this direction. That was the reason why the high-tech company AVL decided to support the team of athletes from Korea as part of the Host Town program. Not only will the extensive support of the delegation of almost 100 people be provided from the headquarters in Graz; the global AVL team, particularly AVL Korea, is also involved in the activities.

Acting in his function as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Korea, AVL CEO Helmut List recently welcomed some of the Special Olympics participants from Styria: "As an internationally active company, we constantly work with people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. One of our key goals is to help promote the different cultures' acceptance of each other. The Special Olympics World Winter Games will give us a chance to experience people from all over the world coming to Styria, demonstrating their impressive skills here and making the most of their potential."
