Urs Gerspach has been with AVL since 1999 and joined the Executive Board in 2017. As Executive Vice President for the Instrumentation and Test Systems business unit, he is responsible for test systems and global operations.
Urs Gerspach studied aviation and aeorospace engineering at the Technical University of Munich. He then started his career at BMW Rolls-Royce Aero Engines as Project Manager for Instrumentation and Measurement on the BR710 jet engine and became Team Leader for Measurement and Instrumentation. He joined AVL as Skill Team Leader for Emission Measuring in 1999 and worked his way up from Project Leader for different global tech centers to Global Skill Area Manager of the test factory.
