AVL Consulting Helps You Make Optimal Technology Decisions

Support for future electrification strategies

Electrification-Levels

What would be the best technology mix in my portfolio of global and local products? What does my optimal electrification roadmap look like? How are the different technologies going to be received by consumers? AVL’s "xEV Portfolio & Technology Consulting” solution helps automotive manufacturers around the globe make the right technology decisions for the future.

As a result of the accelerated electrification trend, the interdisciplinary field of drive system electrification requires a substantial number of technical solutions. Wide-ranging technology and development capabilities in the key electrification, topics along with knowledge on the global and local requirements form the basis of AVL’s products and services. Right now these include the creation of portfolio scenarios and range from virtual assessment of solutions in the competitive environment based on AVL CRUISE™ and AVL-DRIVE™ to the efficient implementation of demonstrators.

The scenarios are specifically developed for customers and take into account future advancements in key components (e.g. energy storage, thermal system, transmission, fuel cell, etc.) and their impact on the choice of technology. AVL evaluates the specific product features of electrified drive systems within the customer’s competitive environment. Assessments of available or specific benchmark data in AVL-DRIVE™, which are conducted at the global tech centers, serve as a basis. The validated AVL simulation models deliver the virtual data needed not only to rate but also to optimize the technology in customer products. The objective virtual evaluation can be experienced in AVL’s own technology demonstrators, as well as in customer-specific ones. These provide the basis for efficient implementation in SOP projects.
