/ 115 Vehicle Testbeds for NVH Testing The main purpose of noise, viration and harshness NVH testing is to optimize the interior and eterior noise of the vehicle, as well as to ensure the acoustic uality. It is possile to evaluate the ehavior of different eternal or internal vehicle impulses on the ecitations on the chassis dynamometer for different constructions of the drivetrain or chassis configurations. CHARACTERISTICS The comination of reduced noise emissions y design, high rigidity and precise road load simulation allows for highly efficient NVH development on the vehicle testbed. These combined advantages are essential for dynamic, tip-in and pass-y-noise tests. Motor enclosures of the water-cooled main motors reduce the acoustic emissions of the vehicle tested. Rollers and frames are especially designed with regard to NVH applications and euipped with acoustic damping material. Echangeale roller surfaces repicate all types of road tetures. In addition to that, the vehicle tested can e upgraded with a second ale for eample for parallel hyrid and four-wheel drive vehicles. Configurations of up to four motors are possile. In this case, the vehicle tested controller VECON monitors the vehicle and provides precise control and monitoring functions for various test modes for all NVH vehicle tested configurations. Pit shutters or work platforms underneath the vehicle enable comfortable access to the vehicle components. This allows the uick and easy realization of modifications without changing the vehicle restraint. Therefore, the modifications can e evaluated using identical test conditions. APPLICATION The vehicle testbed is designed to eamine noise and viration ehavior as well as inuences from the vehicle ody, suspension or other vehicle components. The intention is mainly to check noise and vibration thresholds on the powertrain, chassis and other related components.
