An e-motor testbed must meet many requirements to ensure a fast and reliable test process. Testing units under test (UUT) with different performance levels in terms of power, current, voltage, speed, and torque, as well as different technologies such as PMSM, ASM, and EESM, requires a sophisticated testbed design. In order to accelerate the development process, it is crucial to frontload activities to ensure seamless integration of the powertrain into the vehicle.

In addition, an e-motor test system must be flexible enough to test the full speed and torque range of different electric motors. To achieve this, the overall mechanics, driveshaft, and dynamometer system must be designed accordingly. Another challenge is completing the extensive number of validation and verification tasks within a tight schedule. Our optimized and future-proof e-motor test system provides the flexibility to efficiently test UUTs across a wide range of speeds and torques, ensuring the testing of all types of modern e-drive systems.
